Our course fees for the beginning of the September 2017 term are as follows:
A deposit of £1000 is required upon acceptance to confirm a student's place on our 3 year acting courses or musical theatre foundation courses. This is a non-refundable deposit and will be deducted from the first terms fees. The remainder is to be paid 2 weeks before the start of the first term. All future payments are to be settled 2 weeks before the start of each term.
Fees can be paid monthly but will incur a 5% admin charge.
Scholarships and Bursaries
PPA currently offer scholarships of up to 50% off fees:
Other bursaries are also available depending on a student's grading and financial situation. Bursaries can be discussed in person or over the phone.
At present, we do not currently offer any funding for the One Year Intensive Course in Musical Theatre, however, Housing Benefit can be applied for.
Career Development Loans (available for Diploma and Degree students)
We are a Professional and Career Development Loans registered Learning Provider, our registration number is 20849. A Professional and Career Development Loan is a commercial bank loan that you can use to help pay for work-related learning. For further information on financial assistance to support your learning, please visit the GOV.UK website or contact the National Careers Service on 0800 100 900.
Housing Benefit (currently only available for Foundation Courses)
Guildford Borough Council is able to award Housing Benefit to students who are studying a Further Education course at our establishment. Students would need to start the course before the age of 19 and be living in privately-rented accommodation (which is not affiliated with the educational establishment) to be eligible. The students on the One Year Musical Theatre course who fit this criteria are therefore elegible.
In order for students to claim Housing Benefit from the start of the rental period, it will need to be applied for the week before moving into the property. To do this, log onto www.guildford.gov.uk/benefits and click on the apply on-line link.
PPA is fully committed to delivering all aspects of the courses promised upon acceptance. PPA makes no guarantees to the students but aids each individuals realistic aims. Therefore, we feel we follow this through and achieve our goals and consequently have a no refund policy. Should students leave before their course completion then we ask for a terms notice or fees in lieu for that term.
All deposits received on acceptance are classed as non-refundable and represent a commitment by the student to attending PPA and completing the relevant course.
